How to reduce risks from ultraviolet exposure

Explanation

Ultraviolet, X-rays and gamma rays have higher frequencies than visible light and can harm tissue. UV can cause premature skin ageing and increase skin cancer risk; X-rays and gamma rays are ionising and can damage genes. Risk depends on radiation type and dose. X-rays are used in imaging; gamma originates from nuclear changes and can be used in treatment. Example: State a UV hazard. Premature skin ageing or increased skin cancer risk. Use clear labels. Explain the result. Link cause and effect.
