How to recognise vector quantities

How to draw vectors with arrows

Why changing direction changes velocity
Explanation
Scalars have magnitude only; vectors have magnitude and direction. Speed, distance, mass and time are scalars; velocity, displacement, force and acceleration are vectors. Vector arrows show direction and use their scaled length to show magnitude; reversing direction changes a vector even when its magnitude stays the same. Example: Classify force. Vector. Distinguish the observation from the explanation, and support any judgement with evidence. Use clear labels. Explain the result. Give a reason.
