How to predict forces between charged objects

Explanation

An electric field is a region where another charged object experiences a force. Field direction is the direction of force on a small positive test charge. Field lines point away from positive charges and towards negative charges; closer spacing indicates a stronger field. Example: Predict the force on an electron in a rightward field. Leftwards because its charge is negative. Distinguish the observation from the explanation, and support any judgement with evidence. Use evidence. Apply the model.
